Privacy Policy
Effective: April 25, 2026
Project You Performance Training (“Project You,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website at projectyougym.com or visit our facility, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored securely as a hash), and optionally a phone number when you create an account.
- Booking and training records: the sessions you book, attend, or cancel; session credits purchased and used; coach assignments.
- In-person intake forms: emergency contact, injury history, fitness goals, and related information collected on paper at our facility.
- Communications: messages you send us via email or in person.
Information collected automatically
- Essential session cookies: we use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Server logs: standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages accessed, used to diagnose issues and prevent abuse.
Information from third parties
- Payment processor (Stripe): when you purchase a package or membership, Stripe processes the payment. We do not see or store your full credit card number. Stripe provides us only with a transaction reference, the last 4 digits of the card, and the payment status.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate sign-ins.
- To process bookings, payments, and refunds.
- To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts, membership renewals).
- To deliver coaching services and personalize your training programming.
- To respond to questions and provide customer support.
- To enforce our Terms of Service and protect against fraud or abuse.
- To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.
3. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share limited information only with the service providers that help us operate the business:
- Stripe — payment processing. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Vercel — website hosting. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Neon — encrypted database hosting. See neon.tech/privacy-policy.
- Resend — transactional email delivery. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, in response to a lawful subpoena, or to protect the safety of our staff, members, or the public.
4. Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. After cancellation, we may retain limited records (transaction history, signed waivers, attendance logs) for up to seven years to comply with tax, accounting, and liability obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 6).
5. Security
Your account password is stored as a one-way bcrypt hash — even our team cannot read it. Connections to our website are encrypted with TLS/HTTPS. Database connections are encrypted, and access is restricted to authorized personnel and services. While no system is perfectly secure, we use industry-standard practices to protect your information.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access or correct your information: log in to your dashboard, or email us at projectyounewlenox@gmail.com.
- Delete your account: email us with your request and we will close your account and delete personal information not required by law to retain.
- Stop transactional emails: these are tied to your account (booking confirmations, receipts). To stop them, close your account.
California residents (CCPA) and EU residents (GDPR) have additional rights, including the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Minors
Project You welcomes athletes and members of all ages. If a minor (under 18) wishes to train with us, a parent or legal guardian must create the account on the minor's behalf, provide their own contact information, and sign all required liability waivers and consent forms in person at our facility before the first session. The parent or guardian remains responsible for the account, payment, and any communications related to the minor's training.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be communicated via email to active members.
